Cromartie are renowned for the production of high quality kilns for over fifty years. During the last twenty years we have sold tens of thousands of the famous Hobbytech 40, the kiln that has been the corner stone of many hobbyists and small ceramic businesses throughout the world.

Building on success we have now completely redesigned this kiln and the result is the all-new HOBBYTECH 45. We have taken the best of the latest technology in refractory materials and temperature control, we've increased the wall thickness and wrapped it all in a genuine 304 grade stainless steel jacket. The result is a robust, stylish kiln with performance to match.

FIRING REQUIREMENTS - Please talk to us about your firing requirements. If you are regularly firing above 1200ºC select the 16amp High Fire model wired in to a 20amp spur such as you would need for an immersion heater. If your power supplier drops the voltage below 230v the13amp version may be affected.

For those requiring a little more capacity or for firing those taller pieces that just won't fit in the H45 we can now offer you the new HOBBYTECH 60.

The kiln can be supplied for High Temperature operation as per the table above or we can provide it for use on a 16amp socket for 1100ºC operation or even 13amp for low Glass firing temperature (maximum 800ºC).
